At West Exchange School, we believe all children are curious, kind and competent citizens with rights. With appropriate guidance children will discover and learn much from the world independently and through interactions with each other. Our teachers come with a wealth of knowledge in diverse areas but are constantly learning from and along with the children. Learning at West Exchange School will take place through exploration, play, art and nature. Our backyard and garden will be our second classroom and we will spend about an equal amount of time outside and indoors. All teaching will be developmentally appropriate based on each child’s needs and we will meet the children where they are.

FAQs

  • West Exchange School will provide preschool through second grade curriculum. Preschoolers can start at age 3 and need to be potty trained. We love having a mixed age group. The older kids gain so much empathy and responsibility by helping out the younger students. The younger students gain independence by observing the older kids. We currently provide instruction up to fifth grade but moving forward will no longer be accepting children beyond second grade.
